Richard Wennberg

Richard Wennberg, MD, PhD, FRCPC, is an academic neurologist and clinical neurophysiologist, director of the Clinical Neurophysiology Laboratory at the University Health Network, Toronto Western Hospital. He is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Toronto, past Chair of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Examination Board in Neurology, and past President of the Canadian League Against Epilepsy. He is the director of the Mitchell Goldhar Magnetoencephalography (MEG) Unit at the Krembil Brain Institute. Some of his research has explored the use of deep brain stimulation (DBS) as a treatment for epilepsy, the neurophysiological mechanisms linking brain function and behavior, and the biophysical bases of clinical neurophysiology.
