Mandate: to deliver education and community outreach programs to drive interest and engagement in rehab prevention and promote health technology research.

Background

The Innovations Gallery is Where Rehab Research Comes to Life at the University Health Network (UHN), Canada's pre-eminent academic health sciences centre.

Located on the main floor of the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute's University Centre, this state-of-the-art exhibition space is a showcase for the innovative products, treatment, devices and services created by our clinical, education and research teams at the KITE Research Institute and Toronto Rehab to assist those living with effects of disability, aging and illness.

Building on UHN's triple promise to integrate care, research and education programs, the Innovations Gallery is a unique platform where visitors can learn about exceptional scientific discoveries, successful business development efforts, international partnerships, entrepreneurship programs, commercialization efforts and resources available for patients and families. The gallery is home to several areas designed to highlight our areas of focus, including prevention, restoration of function, enhanced participation and independent living and is home to many multimedia displays, educational materials and interactive learning opportunities for visitors.

The many exhibits, displays and educational materials serve to strengthen UHN's vision of creating A Healthier World. We invite you to pay us a visit the next time you visit KITE and Toronto Rehab.
