ICAIR Postponed due to increasing COVID-19 Concerns

A message from the ICAIR organizing committee

Dear Colleagues,

It is with great regret that I write today to inform you that we are postponing the inaugural International Conference on Aging Innovation and Rehabilitation (ICAIR), which was scheduled to take place on Monday, May 25.

Up until a few days ago, the ICAIR organizing committee was optimistic that we could proceed as originally planned. However, considering the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19, it is now clear that doing so would be irresponsible. While the number of cases in Canada remains relatively low, we simply do not know what will transpire in the next few months.

On behalf of the organizing committee I would like to thank everyone who registered for ICAIR and had already started to prepare presentation materials. We are working to find a new date for the conference and will share that with you at the appropriate time. All registrations will be transferred to this new date and refunds will be issued to those who require reimbursement.

In the meantime, UHN’s Infection Prevention and Control team is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and I would encourage you to watch for email updates.

Sincerely,

Milos
