Arash Arami

Dr. Arami is a Scientist in the Neural Engineering and Therapeutics team. He is an Assistant Professor at the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering Department at the University of Waterloo where he leads the Neuromechanics and Assistive Robotics Laboratory. Dr. Arami’s research focuses on modeling sensorimotor deficits and affected neuromechanics of individuals with neurological conditions such as spinal cord injury and Parkinson’s disease and using such models in the development and control of personalized assistive robotic systems such as lower limb exoskeletons.
