Shehroz Khan KITE FIBRE

Dr. Khan is a Scientist at KITE. He is a member of Artificial Intelligence and Rehab Robotics research team. His main research focus is the development of machine learning and deep learning algorithms within the realms of Aging, Rehabilitation, and Intelligent Assistive Living. He is currently leading following studies:

  • Detecting agitation in people living with dementia using mutli-modal sensors.
  • Fall detection with deep learning methods with sensors that protect privacy of an individual in a home-setting.
  • Prototype development of intelligent homes for monitoring health factors to improve quality of life of older adults using smart sensors. Some of the key application areas being investigated are improving physical activity and assessment of social isolation among older adults.
  • Intelligent assessment of risk factors to mitigate heart disease using smart sensor technology.
