Biography

Dr. Christie Burton is a Research Associate in the department of Neurosciences and Mental Health at the Hospital for Sick Children. Dr. Burton received her PhD in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Toronto, Canada in 2012.  Her research focuses primarily on the clinical, cognitive and genetic correlates of childhood neuropsychiatric disorders including attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), among others in both clinical and population-based samples. As an active member and social outreach coordinator of the international Psychiatric Genomics Consortium (PGC) ADHD and OCD working groups, she has been involved in the recent genome-wide discoveries for these disorders.
