During this virtual leadership rehab rounds session, Dr. Sander Hitzig, scientist at St. John's Rehab Research Program, will be discussing the impact of social isolation on on wellbeing in people with spinal cord injury.


Dr. Sander Hitzig is a Scientist at St. John’s Rehab Research Program (Sunnybrook Research Institute) and an assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy and the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute at the University of Toronto.  His current research interests include understanding the role of social networks on health and quality of life outcomes in people with disability, developing and validating patient-reported outcomes, and evaluating novel technologies and clinical services designed to improve transitions across the continuum of care.
